David’s Target Audience: David works with entrepreneurs to help them accelerate their income. His focus is on helping entrepreneurs who want to make a difference for themselves and for others. They are either in one of two places: 1) either they are trying to figure out how to make it easier for themselves so they stop struggling or 2) they are ready to take it to the next level. What David finds is that there is a mindset block in the way and he aims to help them break free of all that. Usually people are feeling stuck because they are burdened with not having enough money or not knowing how to get more money.

David’s background is rooted in overcoming obstacles and challenges related to money. He experienced moments in life where he felt like he was backed into a corner feeling like there was no way out. He asked himself what changes he needed to make as person and this set him on a journey of self discovery and education. He discovered he was passionate about helping people by teaching them skill sets and strategies to simplify their lives so they could ‘step into their triumph and leave a legacy.’

In this episode, David talks about what’s going on inside the head of the buyer and their level of resistance. David says, the more we understand ourselves, the more we understand other people- especially in their relationship to money. This understanding sets a foundational shift in how the sales conversation is constructed. There’s a huge stigma around sales because probably because of past experiences we’ve all had with pushy salespeople. Growing up, we’re not taught to make decisions, so we make them by default. Ultimately, this robs us of being in our full power and keeps us from our desires.

Once the resistance is understood, we can start to understand how to have a conversation with them where we can help people make a clear and correct choice for themselves. It’s not about selling anything, but rather getting them to a place of clarity where they can stand firmly in their yes, or firmly in their no. Then comes the ACTION part of it. We are helping them to muster an urgency to change. This is the heart of any sales call.
