Behind the Scenes: Setting Boundaries To Reduce Stress at Work and Life with Gene Hammett

In today’s fast-paced world, you have to be intentional to reduce stress at work and life. One way to do that is to set boundaries. These boundaries are intentional times that you can let go of the pressures of life. I recommend doing something that turns off the brain. If you want to reduce stress at work and life, you want to set boundaries. Today I share with you how I do it. I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2006. That is 13 years of training. I love how it makes me 100% present. If my mind wanders during a training session, I will get crushed. I encourage you to set up boundaries for yourself to reduce stress at work and life.

Today we’re gonna talk about reducing stress as a leader you probably get pulled into a lot of stress in your life whether that be at work or at home. You’ve got to really create some boundaries to do that reducing stress at work. It’s something that you can do if you really understand how to do it. I want to share with you how I do it. I’m going to take you into my job which is one place I really decompress. Now I will apologize ahead of time. This is going to be a little bit loud background music because we’re playing this for everyone is a little bit louder than I would like it to be.

[00:00:36].510]
But I wanted to get this video to live and in-person in the place to this to show you kind of the steps I go to create those boundaries to reduce stress. So yours will be different but mine is presented jujitsu so here’s my place. I love to reduce stress.

[00:00:53].520]

[00:01:12].000]
And I’m kind of hard day much like you can be kind of hard but I want to ask your question. Where do you create boundaries in your life? Those. Voting rules. Set.

[00:01:22].900]
Things guy too. And I was recently asked by a doctor of mine. You know. Are you stressed? And I kind of smiled going Look I’m growing a fast-growing company I work with a team and a lot of client monitors going on but what’s really going on here is asking for my intention without reducing my stretch. The answer is yes. The one way I would express is the gypsies.

[00:01:47].670]
I come three times a week sometimes a glance when I’m traveling by my nose and I’ve got to let my mind go from day to day. Turn off my computer.

[00:01:59].220]
The brain and my literal computer turn it off. But the way to the pie really decompressing and letting go. I am truly creating a foundry where I want to release my scratch. I do that the better I feel. So as a leader of a fast-growing company. Are you reading this manager’s first there? For you, it may be running or working out in yoga or anything else walking your dog. Are you feeling those boundaries you? Being. Proactive. About reducing your stress. I think you might do that over and over no.
