FROM JUST AN IDEA TO $6 MILLION IN ANNUAL REVENUE…
The story starts with 10 years in corporate America, where I gained experience in areas ranging from mergers & acquisitions to creating marketing strategies for large corporations, from project management for a big four firm (PwC) in technology services to sales for a technology startup company in e-commerce.
In this time, I achieved many milestones, including authoring three books positioning me as an expert in my market before turning 25.
I was ready to begin my entrepreneurship journey.
In 2001, I started an online company with just an idea. It grew from zero to $6 million + in revenue in three years. It would have been on the Inc. 500 that year if I’d had the time to apply (I didn’t). I carved out a very lucrative niche for my business and positioned it as the choice for our target audience. Over that time, I had to learn the importance of leadership and the value of execution.
Seeing a new opportunity, I started a second company to serve my clients and soon had two 7-figure businesses.
But – even while I was taking my companies into new markets, scaling growth, and personally making more money than I had ever made in my life – I realized I was missing something.
I was missing out on living with a real purpose. I knew that I wanted to innovate within my industry and create new tools and new technologies, but I was TRAPPED in my own success. Click here for my book explaining The Trap of Success.
Unfortunately, I ignored those desires to create innovation and build the business that I truly wanted. I just focused on scaling my previous systems. One day in 2010, I lost it all – the business, the money, everything. In an instant, I lost a business deal and my business imploded, to the tune of losing more than $3 million in one day.
Ouch is an understatement!
This excruciating ordeal shook me to my core. It made me rethink everything in my life and business.
I started working with high-performing leaders to achieve even greater results. They were founders, CEOs, and visionary leaders to generate growth in their business. I studied everything there was to learn about how to overcome limits, tap into sustainable growth, and empower leaders to achieve more.
This potentially career-ending setback set me on a new life journey with a mission to partner with business leaders to help them unlock the growth potentials they may not know exist.
Since then, I have worked with founders and CEOs to create repeatable leadership development strategies that foster growth. My research into fast-growth companies has been featured in Forbes, Inc. Magazine, Business Insider, Success Magazine, YAHOO!, NBC, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
