Nicole’s Target Audience: Nicole’s target market is small business entrepreneurs who need to realize the importance of personal branding and to help them build simple brand strategy.
A reformed perfectionist, Nicole’s background is corporate finance. She graduated college with honors and got her degree in finance. Like many others, she found herself working grueling hours and fighting for that one manager spot. Because everyone was equally qualified for that spot, they all fought for it.
When she went on disability for depression, she realized her career was running her into the ground. She knew she wanted more for herself.
Having been raised by entrepreneurial parents, she had always felt that she would one day own her own company. So she launched her own beauty consulting business, which later lead to her very own brand consulting business.
In this episode, Nicole discusses “beige” leaders who are smart but don’t know how to get started with their own business. You need to be more than smart, you need to look smart as well. She discusses taking these types of people and helping them with simple brand strategies to develop their own personal brand.
You need to discover the truth of your own personal brand. Your personal brand is what you do and how you do it in your own special way.
Nicole explains that Oprah Winfrey’s personal brand is her empathy. It shows in all that she does and others trust her because of it. For Nicole, her personal brand is confidence. It is her confidence that allows her clients to feel comfortable around her and to open up.
In this episode, here’s what we’ll cover:
- Why thee truth behind personal branding helps your business grow.
- The lies that we tell ourselves and how are they holding us back.
- Why it is important to be 100% committed to being a market leader.
- How to tell what kind of market leader you are by the messages in your Inbox.
- How discovering what your specialty is can launch your business.
Practical & Actionable:
Nicole says the most practical thing you can do right now is to grab a pen and piece of paper and write your real brand story. Think of it as if you were writing a movie trailer for a summer blockbuster hit. Don’t write it like a wikipedia script. Focus on who you are, what you do and how you do it.
Remember to make it juicy by including your own personal experiences. Don’t keep caught up in playing it safe. As entrepreneurs, we all have come from great learning experiences. Remember, your goal is to be red hot and scorching.
